Case 3 — Four Daughters & Nine Siblings

There are no sons. The residue of the estate passes to the full siblings as asabah heirs.

FaraidDaughtersAsabah

The deceased, Zainab, passed away on 10 August 2020.

The Facts

  • She had been married to Musa, who died in 2014.
  • She left four children, all daughters: Aini, Aina, Ainul and Aisyah.
  • Her full siblings, counting the deceased herself, numbered ten — five brothers and five sisters: Hasan, the deceased, Nuh, Khatijah, Husin, Kamariah, Zulaikha, Zubair, Liana and Zulbaidi.

The Faraid Distribution

Why do the siblings inherit too? Because the deceased left no son. The four daughters together take 2/3 (28/42), and the remainder passes as asabah to the full siblings — each brother taking twice a sister’s share.

I hope this helps.

Is your case different? A slightly different set of heirs can change the whole distribution. Send me the facts of your case on WhatsApp and I will help you check.
